Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the heat-resistant cement appropriate as the binder for the fired cement-based material formed body and capable of providing a formed body low in coefficient of contraction when fired by specifying the Blaine specific surface and grain diameter distribution. CONSTITUTION:Cement materials such as clinker and gypsum are mixed, crushed and then graded to produce a heat-resistant cement having 700-2500cm /g Blaine specific surface and with the content of cement having >=20mum grain diameter controlled to >=50wt.%. When this cement is used as the binder for the fired cement-based material formed body, the contraction of the formed body is reduced when fired, and the crack, crevice, etc., are hardly caused. Besides, the content of cement having <=5mum grain diameter is preferably controlled to <=17wt.%, that having <=10mum grain diameter to 5-30wt.%, that having <=20mum grain diameter to 10-50wt.% and that having <=100mum grain diameter to 70-95wt.%.
