Summary:PURPOSE:To present a method of initial adjustment of a gun type burner by which the subsequent combustion control can be executed well regardless of the scatter in the characteristics of respective burners by carrying out the initial adjustment before shipment or at the time of replacing nozzle, etc. CONSTITUTION:A controller 10 drives a stepping motor 27 from a standard position so as to bring the quantity of combustion of the fuel to a specified quantity of combustion. The controller 10 stores in memory the number of the steps at this time. The motion is effected for the specified quantity of combustion of at least one kind.
