Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in repeatability to be used for a printer and a copying machine by incorporating a specified electric charge generating material and a specified charge transfer material in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate contains at least one of bisazo compounds represented by formula I as the charge generating material and at least one of biphenylamine compounds represented by formula II as the charge transfer material. In formulae I and II, R1 is halogen, alkyl, car alkoxy; R2 is optionally substituted alkyl; R3 is H, cyano, carbamoyl, carboxylic, ester, or acyl; R4 is H, halogen, nitro, alkyl, or alkoxy; each of R5 and R6 is H, halogen, alkoxy, optionally substituted alkyl or aryl; and R7 is fluorinated alkyl or alkoxy.
