Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the positioning accuracy of optical connectors and to stabilize the coupling by providing the 1st optical connector which has a 1st fiber connecting member having guide holes and the 2nd optical connector which has a 2nd fiber connecting member having guide holes and coupling pins and has a housing for energizing the 2nd fiber connecting member by springs. CONSTITUTION:This optical connector switching and connecting device has the 1st optical connector 5 and 2nd optical connector 6 coupled via coupling pins 3b. The 1st optical connector 5 which has the 1st fiber connecting member provided with a pair of the 1st guide holes to be inserted with the coupling pins 3b is provided. Further, the 2nd optical connector 6 which has the 2nd fiber connecting member 1 having a pair of the 2nd guide holes 1b formed at nearly the same spacing as the spacing of the 1st guide holes and a pair of the coupling pins 3b to be inserted into the 1st guide holes through the 2nd guide holes 1b and has the housing 3 for holding the 2nd fiber connecting member 1 in the state of energizing the same by the spring 3c in the insertion direction. The improvement in the positioning accuracy and the stabilization of the coupling are compatibly attained in this way.
