Summary:PURPOSE:To avoid the interference of control with each other by allowing several kinds of control to be performed in set priority by a driving force distribution control means and an engine output control means, corresponding to the running and driving conditions of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The output of an engine 2 is transmitted to a planetary gear type differential gear 12 to distribute engine torque to front wheels and rear wheels in a required condition via an automatic transmission. To the differential gear 12, a hydraulic multiplate clutch 28 is attached as a driving force distribution control means which can change the distribution of engine output torque to the front wheels and the rear wheels through locking operation. The engine 2 is provided with a human-initiated engine output adjusting device 102 such as a throttle valve and an engine output control means 101 such as a sub-throttle valve, which are controlled by a controller 48 in sequence of brake ON control, high-speed run control, main driving force control, spin control, drift control, longitudinal slip control and direct-connection 4WD control.
