Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a high output with a low-voltage DC power source by providing two switching elements and a control means on an inverter circuit, and controlling the switching elements so that the circuit current reaches a peak during the second half part of the on-period of the switching elements. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 10 controls switching element driving circuits 9a, 9b to switch the primary side current of a booster transformer 3. Power transistors(Tr) 8a, 8b are turned on or off in turn, a voltage doubler capacitor 7 is charged, and a current is fed to a magnetron 5 to continuously oscillate it. The leakage inductance of the transformer 3, the capacitance of the capacitor 7 and the on-period of Tr 8a, 8b are adjusted so that the current flowing in the Tr 8a, 8b reaches a peak during the second half part of the on-period of switching elements. The two switching elements are prevented from being concurrently turned on to cause the short circuit state, and a power circuit with a high output is obtained.
