Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance the cornering performance by multiplying the target value, which is corrected by a cornering correcting means at the time of slip control, further with a correction factor according to the car speed using a modification cornering correcting means, and thereby allowing the effect of cornering correcting at the time of slip control to exert effectively in accordance the are speed. CONSTITUTION:Supply and exhaust of the pressure to/from the pressure chamber 44 of an actuator 41 to move a throttle lever 24 is controlled by a normally closed solenoid valve 51 and a normally open solenoid valve 56, and thus a torque reducing means is formed. An ECU 15 calculates the target drive wheel speed according to the target slip ratio, and solenoid valves 51, 56 are controlled so that the actual speed of the drive wheels will become its target value. Therein a cornering correcting means is provided to make a correction in the direction of lowering the target drive sheel speed on the basis of the transverse acceleration to be generated on the car, and a modification cornering correcting means is furnished to make multiplying with a correction factor from zero to one which increases with the speed. Thereby the cornering characteristics are improved, and the maneuvering performance is enhanced while energy loss is suppressed.
