Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject glass composition capable of stably producing high-accuracy optics at a low cost by blending at least AIF3, YF3, LiF+NaF+K and MgF2+CaF2+SrF2+BaF2 in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A fluoride glass composition containing 25-40% AIF3, 5-20% YF3, 5-15% total quantity of LiF+NaF+KF, 0-7% MgF2, 0-25% CaF2, 0-12% SrF2, 0-12% BaF2, 15-40% total quantity of MgF2+CaF2+SrF2+BaF2, 0-10% PbF2, 0-10% CdF2 and 0-10% total quantity of PbF2+Cd2F2 on mol% base. The above-mentioned composition is excellent in weather resistance, moldable at <=400 deg.C and capable of using a mold capable of ready precision processing such as a stainless mold platted with Ni-P therefor. High-accuracy optics can be stably produced at a low cost therefor. |
