PURPOSE:To suppress the breakage of a top coat layer and the separation of said broken piece by a method in which a fancy veneer is stuck onto the surface of base material, and the transparent top coat-layer which includes the intermediate layer with softness and extensible property is integrally formed on the surface of said projecting plate. CONSTITUTION:After a fancy veneer 2 such as a paper-thin wood has been firmly stuck on the surface of base material 1 with an adhesive, a top coat-layer 3 is formed on the surface of said wooden fancy veneer 2. As the coating for forming said top coat-layer 3, the transparent polyester coating for woodwork, is used. In the wet-on-wet coating process by said polyester coating, while the sheet 4 of the fiber or the film, etc., composed of nylon resin, polyester resin, polybutyral resin, etc., having transparency and elongation is caused to intervene in the top coat layer 3 so as to be positioned almost in the contral part of said layer 3, an intermediate layer is formed. Consequently, the breakage of the top coat layer and the separation of said broken piece, etc., in the crazing of the top coat-layer may be prevented.
