PURPOSE:To prevent the impairment of the 'moist' feel of the hair and the skin by excess removal of' moisture therefrom by depositing a moisture retaining component together with a highly water absorptive resin as desired on a highly water absorptive towel cloth. CONSTITUTION:The moisture retaining component or the highly water absorptive resin and the moisture retaining component are deposited on the highly water absorptive towel cloth by immersing the towel cloth into a bath formed by preparing the above-mentioned component or the above-mentioned resin and component into a solvent soln. or dispersion of a binder, such as acrylic resin, urethane resin, methacrylic acid resin, or silicone resin, or spraying the dispersion onto the towel cloth. Hyaluronic acid, squalene, moisture retaining resin extracts, tocopherol and its deriv., etc., are used as the moisture retaining component. The moisture retaining component is more preferably deposited on the towel cloth by microcapsulating this component. The degradation in the 'moist' feel of the hair and the skin by the excess removal of the moisture is prevented according to this towel cloth; in addition, the effect is sustained.
