Summary:PURPOSE:To abate the extent of watt consumption for an elevator as well as to promote the miniaturization of receiving equipment by installing a mobile means consuming electric power and another mobile means generating the power simultaneously, and operating them so as to have the generated power fed to the mobile means consuming the power. CONSTITUTION:There is proved such a mobile means that consumes electric power supplied by a lifting magnet 52 and an electromagnet 50 in a part corresponding to this lifting magnet 52 out of the electromagnet 50 installed along a lifting passage, while generates the electric power by means of regenerative braking and there by travels an elevator cage. At time of down starting of the cage 18, it is made to go down in use of potential energy of the cage 18, and when its down is stopped as well as when the down speed is controlled, a lifting linear motor consisting of the electromagnet 50 and the lifting magnet 52 is made to function as a generator, through which power generation is performed while braking is carried out and the so-called regenerative braking that the generated power is returned to a power supply system is carried out in this way.
