Summary:PURPOSE:To realize an electrolyte body for a solid electrolyte fuel cell having a structure with which a gas passage can be easily secured, and having a good mass- productivity by integrally forming gas passages crossing vertically and laterally alternately respectively, and circulating gas materials of different oxygen densities respectively. CONSTITUTION:A structure where gas passages for different oxygen densities are integrally formed in an electrolyte body is formed. A die is formed by inserting cores 2 into a box-shaped frame 1 of vinyl chloride having holes at an equal interval to penetrate to the other side, and infecting slurry after vacuum defoaming. At a predetermined time after injection, all the cores 2 are removed, a moulded body left inside is removed from the box-shaped frame 1, it is then dried and degreased, and it is baked in an oxygen atmosphere to obtain the electrolyte body. Fuel poles are slurry coated in the perpendicular passages to electricity poles for one direction passages provided every other stages among the gas passages in the electrolyte body formed by the cores 2, and the pole materials are serially connected by interconnection for obtaining a solid electrolyte fuel cell. The moulded body can thus be obtained easily without complicated processed because of integral casting moulding, and a possibility of gas leak can be eliminated.
