Summary:PURPOSE:To accurately control the feed quantity of passbooks by mounting a sheet like feed means having a catcher directly grasping the end part of the passbook provided at the end part thereof, the drum taking up the sheet like feed means and the means controlling the rotation of the drum. CONSTITUTION:In a passbook printer, a medium 2 such as a magnetic passbook or slip is inserted from an insertion port 1 and held between a feed roller 3a and the press roller 3a' opposed thereto to be sucked up to the place where the medium 2 is detected by a medium sensor 5 and a catcher 4 clamps the leading end of the medium 4 when the medium 2 is detected by the medium sensor 5. A sheet like feed body 6 is integrated with the catcher 4 and the medium 2 is fed along with the feed body 6 so as to be taken up in the direction of a drum 7 by controlling the driving of a stepping motor 8 rotationally driving he drum 7 taking up the rear end part 6a of the feed body 6 in a roll form and sucked up to a predetermined position to be stopped. The feed quantity of the sheet like feed body moving along with the catcher 4 is directly controlled to realize feed of high accuracy.
