Summary: | PURPOSE:To improve the effect of wave dissipation by a method wherein a plurality of openings are made in a flat board, and projections that swell wave height are provided on the side of the progress of incoming waves of the openings on the flat board. CONSTITUTION:Four bottom steel pipes 1 are erected on a concrete block 5 that is constructed on the seabed 3. A flat board 2 with a number of vertical openings 6 and projections 7 with arc shapes formed on the side of the progress of waves provided thereon is installed on the steel pipes 1. When progressive waves collide against the projections 7, wave height becomes higher, producing higher water pressure. Then water with higher pressure is released downward through the openings 6, and thereby the energy of the progressive waves is dissipated. |
