Summary: | PURPOSE:To render the wear of contacts of three poles uniform to lengthen the life of each contact by connecting junction bars, which link the contacts of the three poles, and electric wires so that the values of resistance of the junction bars and wires are almost equal. CONSTITUTION:In the selection of the capacity of a contact 6 for short-circuiting a rotor resistance, a -connected contact is generally selected for the purpose of usually miniaturizing or economizing a size. This method has the merit of making it possible to use a comparatively small motor for the secondary line current of a motor 1 because the contactor 6 is -connected. Therefore, a wire 8 remains as it is used in a conventional system and combined with junction bars 7 so that a conductor resistance can be made variable, and the resistance is made to coincide with that of the wire 8 as much as possible so that a current of the value of 1/3<1/2> of the line current flows uniformly through each contact. Thus, the wear of each contact can be made uniform and its life can be made longer. |
