Summary:PURPOSE:To eliminate uneven weight distribution in an overall power unit by providing such constitution where plural accessories are driven by the input shaft of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission or by the output part of the transmission directly connected to the output shaft on an engine and enabling the intallation of plural accessories on the side of the transmission. CONSTITUTION:A power unit 10 mounted inside an engine room behind a radiator, consists of an engine 20, transmission 30 connected thereto, a differential gear 50, etc., and takes its horizontal position in the engine room. In the transmission 30, which is a toroidal type continuously variable transmission, pulleys 61b, 62b fixed to the respective ends of the rotary shafts of a supercharger 61 and an alternator 62 are connected to a driving pulley 63 on the input shaft of the transmission 30 through a driving belt 64. Pulleys 65b, 66b fixed to the ends of the respective rotary shafts of an air-conditioning compressor 65 and an oil pressure pump 66 for power steering mechanism are connected to a driving pulley 67 mounted at the rear end of the input shaft through a driving belt 68.
