Summary:PURPOSE:To treat coke remaining in the port of a coke oven readily without fail by an apparatus that comprises a coke guide car which passes a coke side and is provided with a compressed air tank connected to an air compressor, an a compressed air spray nozzle which protrudes from the car and is separated from the side end of the port by a certain distance. CONSTITUTION:A coke guide car passing a coke side of a coke oven is provided with an air compressor 6 capable of forcing at least 4.5kg/cm of compressed air into a compressed air tank 9 connected to the compressor. A compressed air spray nozzle is connected, through a solenoid valve 8, to the compressed air tank with a piping 7. The end of the nozzle is separated from the port 3 of the coke oven 2 by at least 500mm. After coke is pushed out, the coke guide car 1 starts running, the solenoid valve opens, and the nozzle begins to blow compressed air, thus returning code remaining in the port back into the oven.
