Summary:PURPOSE:To protect a reception data when a main body system is in system- down during reception by providing a data protection device storing a received data. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with main body systems 1, 2, general input output controllers 3, 4, general input output control programs 11, 21, and data protection devices 5, 6, and the data protection devices 5, 6 are provided respectively with control sections 51, 61, buffer memories 52, 62 and line switches 53, 63. That is, between the reception controllers 3, 4 receiving a data from the line and the main body systems 1, 2 utilizing the data, the data protection devices 5, 6 are added, which monitors the data communication and stores the reception data outputted from the reception controllers 3, 4, while the main body systems 1, 2 are not in the normal reception state. Thus, till the system is restored, the reception data is stored in a memory and protected from being aborted.
