Summary:PURPOSE:To dispose of the pressed draff continuously by incineration and prevent bad odor caused by hydrocyanic acid that is harmful and unburned matters by conducting floating combustion of the pressed draff after it is crushed by supplying it to a cylindrical combustion furnace which holds a strong rotating flame flow and incinerating the salt that is contained in the pressed draff, denitrifying by using ammonia as needed, guiding the combustion gas and cooling it, and then recovering heat and dispersing the salt particles that are contained to the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:An incinerator 12 is supplied with an auxiliary fuel from a burner attached to a hot blast generating furnace 13 through an auxiliary fuel supply port 18, and at the same time supplied with air from a supply port 19 of the combustion air for the auxiliary fuel to form a pilot flame for igniting the strained draff on the inner circumference near the strained draff supply port, and the air for the combustion of pressed draff is supplied from one or a plurality of combustion air supply ports 20 for the pressed draff at a high speed more than about 25m per second in the direction tangential to the incinerator 12 to generate a strong rotating flame flow. In the incineration the quantity of heat that is lacking is added by spraying and burning auxiliary fuel from an auxiliary fuel supply port 21 of an auxiliary fuel spraying nozzle 15, and sufficient heat is accumulated. With this arrangement it is possible to carry out incineration of pressed draff without generating harmful matters and disposed of it continuously by incineration.
