Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent unnecessary job stop regardless of execution of a program in an information processor of low execution speed by counting down the value of an execution time limit row in the job control language by a frequency divider corresponding to the execution speed of the information processor. CONSTITUTION:An information processor 3 reads out data 7 of the limit time of the job execution time from a disk device 1 and sets it to a counter 4 to execute a job. A time pulse is generated at intervals of a certain time and is sent to a frequency dividing circuit 6. This circuit 6 divides the frequency of the time pulse by the frequency division ratio corresponding to the operation speed and outputs the result. Meanwhile, the counter 4 to which data indicating the limit time of the job execution time is set is counted down in accordance with the time pulse. The output of the counter 4 is monitored by an end detector 5, and this detector 5 outputs a count-down end signal to the information proces sor 3 when detecting that the counter 4 terminates counting-down of the numeri cal value and the numerical value is 0. Since it takes time to count down the numerical value in the counter, the operation is terminated within the limit time though the program is executed by the information processor of low execu tion speed.
