PURPOSE:To facilitate exchange of active carbon after the life has passes by a method wherein a cap-shaped container which houses an active carbon sealed bag detachably is inserted into a tank through a water inlet of a water tank and an opening of the container is closed sealingly by a fastening lid which is mounted on the inlet and having a water outlet in the center. CONSTITUTION:A bag 14 in which an active carbon 15 is sealed is housed detachably in a container 10, a prescribed volume of water is poured into a water tank 3, the container 10 is inserted into the water tank 3, a ring-shaped collar 11 of the container 10 is put on a water inlet 16 and a fastening lid 17 is screwed with a water outlet 16. Then the water tank 3 is reversed up-sidedown and positioned on a water pan 19 provided in a cooling room 2, and an air valve, for example, which is provided on the water tank 3 is opened. Water in the water tank 3 flowing from a water supply port 12 is cleaned while passing through the active carbon 15 in the bag 14. After flowing out of a water outlet 18 of the fastening lid 17, the water is supplied into an ice making tray 6 in a freezing room 20 by an electromotive pump 4 in a water pan 19 and frozen there. In this constitution, as the active carbon 15 sealed bag 14 is detachable with respect to the container 10, exchange of the bag 14 is very easy after the life has elapsed.
