Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the sealing durability of the seat part of a needle and the high temperature flow rate characteristic by forming a plurality of sliding surfaces on the inner surface of a fuel injection hole at the top edge of a needle and forming a fuel passing groove between the sliding surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The injection quantity of a fuel injection valve 1 is controlled by the electric conduction control to a solenoid coil 2, and the fuel injection valve 1 has a sleeve shaped valve body 4 having a fuel injection hole 3 at the center at the top edge, and a needle 5 for opening and closing the fuel injection hole 3 is installed in slidable manner on the inside of the valve body 4. In this case, the top edge part of the needle 5 is formed to a three-pronged form, and three sliding surfaces 11 are formed between the side surface at the top edge part and the inner wall of the fuel injection hole 3 of the valve body 4, and three fuel passage grooves 12 are formed between the sliding surfaces 11. Accordingly, the sliding surface 11 is formed at the top edge part of the needle 5, as a lower part sliding part. Accordingly, the vibration of the needle 5 is reduced, and the behavior of the needle 5 is stabilized.
