Summary:PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time and also to clearly show the reduced characters and pictures stored in a memory by performing the conversion of a coordinate system every time the position coordinate data are inputted from a pointing device and recording these data into the memory. CONSTITUTION:An input part 2 obtains the position coordinate points every two continuous sample points by sampling the handwritten holographs serving as the file names expressed in substitution via a tablet 1. These obtained position coordinate points are sent to a control part 3. At the part 3 a line F which interpolates the area between the position coordinate points, e.g., A and B is written into a video memory 5. Then the conversion of coordinates is applied to both points A and B for reduction of them. Thus the points (a) and (b) are obtained and a line (f) which interpolates the area between both points is written into a memory part 4 and stored there. At a display part 6 the full-scale contents written in the memory 5 are displayed on a liquid crystal display 7. At the same time, the reduced holographs are recorded and stored in the memory 4.
