Summary:PURPOSE:To allow the checking of the anti-corrosion state of an object to be protected at all times by disposing a conductive electrode between the electrically insulating 1st and 2nd coating layers formed on the outer periphery of the metallic body to be protected and measuring the electrical characteristics between the body to be protected and the electrode. CONSTITUTION:For example, the electrically insulating 1st coating layer 4 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the metallic body 2 to be protected and the electrode 5 consisting of zinc is disposed on the outer side thereof. The electrically insulating 2nd coating layer 6 is formed on the outer side of the coating layer 4 and the electrode 5. The electrode 5 is connected via a line 11 and switch 12 which are lead wires to the terminal 9 of the D/C ammeter provided on the upper side from the surface of the sea water 35, the body 2 is connected via a line 13 which is lead wire to the terminal 10. The current flowing between the electrode 5 and the body 2 is measured and the magnitude of the deterioration of the corrosion preventive state of the body 2 is judged form the magnitude of this current.
