Summary: | PURPOSE:To enhance gradation reproducibility by mainly constituting the binder resin formed on a base material of a grafted polymer compound having a specific grafting ratio obtained by the graft polymerization of a specific ratio of a vinyl compound having a ring structure constituted of four or more elements on 100 pts.wt. of a backbone polymer. CONSTITUTION:An ink layer containing a binder resin and a dye transferred to a transfer material by heating is formed on a base material and the binder resin is based on a grafted polymer compound whose grafting ratio is 0.5-15 pts.wt. obtained by the graft polymerization of 3-30 pts.wt. of a vinyl compound having a ring structure constituted of four or more elements on 100 pts.wt. of a backbone polymer. As the backbone polymer, a polyvinyl acetal resin or a vinyl chloride/acrylic copolymer is pref. from the aspect of mechanical or physical characteristics. As the polyvinyl acetal resin, polyvinyl formal is designated and, as the vinyl chloride/acrylic copolymer, a copolymer of vinyl chloride and an acrylic monomer such as acrylic acid is designated. |
