Summary:PURPOSE:To constitue the above method so that a device necessary for an exchange of molds is made compact and integrated with a molding machine, by a method wherein a plurality of the molds are arranged on a mold clamping part slidably in the direction meeting at right angles with a mold clamping axis by allowing them to adjoin to each other, the mold positioned outside is pushed and the one mold is moved to a using position by a push feed method. CONSTITUTION:When a mold B is placed on a using position, in the case where the mold B is on the right of the using position, a pressing servomotor 18 on the left is restored to a position of the origin, then the pressing servomotor 18 on the right is pushed back the whole of the molds A, B, C to the left and the same is made into the initial position. An arbitrary one out of the adopted molds 5 is arranged on the using position like this and positioned in both a longitudinal and lateral directions along with the other two units of the molds. Then a movable platen 2 is moved up to a mold touching position, a mold fitting surface comes into contact with the back of a movable mold 5b. Clamp nails 10 are fitted into respective positioning grooves 11 by operating an operating clamp 9 in flanges 8 of the molds A, B, C, movable side molds 5a are positioned in both the longitudinal and lateral direction and an exchange of the molds 5 is completed.
