Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent the change in fuel injection quantity resulting from the variation in supercharging pressure by connecting the inside of the compressor housing of a turbocharger with an intake pressure chamber by means of a communicating pipe, so that the high supercharging pressure inside the compressor housing can be taken into the intake pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a distribution-type fuel injection pump, a boost compensator 40 for increasing the fuel injection quantity in response to the supercharging pressure of a turbocharger 8 is provided to the upper part of a governor mechanism 28. The boost compensator 40 comprises a reference-pressure chamber 46 and an intake-pressure chamber 47 which are partitioned by a diaphragm 43, and the supercharging pressure by means of a compressor 12 is introduced into the intake-pressure chamber 47 through a communicating pipe 48. When the supercharging pressure becomes high, the diaphragm 43 is pressed down against a spring 44 to move a push-rod 45 downward, and a spill-ring 27 (not shown) is moved via a control arm 50 and a tension bar, so that the fuel injection quantity from the fuel injection pump to a fuel injection nozzle is increased. |
