PURPOSE:To easily and speedily search for uncertain desired music by providing a music information storage medium, a retrieval information input means, a retrieval means, and a control part. CONSTITUTION:Various data regarding respective pieces of music are recorded as retrieval information on a music sound information storage medium 10. Then when the name of music is uncertain, a user inputs key data regarding the music as retrieval information by the retrieval information input means 12 and the retrieval means 14 retrieves the corresponding music automatically among the pieces of retrieval information recorded on the storage means 10 according to the input retrieval information. Then this retrieval state is displayed on a screen under the control of an image display mechanism 22 by a control part 14. Thus, when the desired music is uncertain, the desired music can be retrieved speedily according to the various data regarding the respective pieces of music by using the display screen.
