Summary:PURPOSE:To keep controlled molten steel surface level to the aimed molten steel surface level by calculating and setting the aimed values of pouring ratio of molten steels for surface layer and inside layer and the molten steel surface level based on the setting values of surface layer thickness and casting velocity and controlling the molten steel surface level by using them as the amide values. CONSTITUTION:At the time of obtaining the aimed value yr (m) of the molten steel surface level in order to obtain the setting surface layer thickness by using t<1/2> rule ordinarily used by using dr (mm) for setting surface layer thickness, Vr (m/min) for the setting casting velocity, (h) (m) for center position of DC magnetic field and (t) (min) for solidified time, yr=h+Vr (dr/k) , wherein, k: factor of solidified velocity (mm/min<1/2>). The aimed pouring ratio betas=d(l+ w-d)/(l-d)(w-d) from the material balance by using d=0.002Xdr. Wherein, l: length of the mold (m), w: width of the mold (m). By this method, the aimed values of controlled molten steel surface level are calculated and the molten steel surface is controlled by using them as the aimed values.
