PURPOSE:To reduce the noise resulting from the hitting of a plate valve body and a partition wall by furnishing a bumper body between the periphery of the suction port or the exhaust port of a compressor and a plate-form valve body provided to the suction port or the exhaust port. CONSTITUTION:When the rotor 7 of an electromotor 1 is rotated, the rotary shaft 11 of a housing 3 is rotated, and a piston 31 is operated reciprocating in the vertical direction through a connecting rod 29. And following the downward movement of the piston 31, a suction valve 57 is opened, and the suction air is let flow in to a cylinder chamber 43 from a suction port 53. And following the upward movement of the piston 31, the suction air in the cylinder chamber 43 is compressed, and at the same time, an exhaust valve 59 is opened and the compressed air is exhausted to a space for exhaust from an exhaust port 55. In such a compressor, a bumper body 101 is laid under the surface at the cylinder chamber 43 side of a partition wall 41 around the suction port 53. In the same manner, a bumper body 103 is laid under the surface, at the opposite side of the cylinder chamber 43 of the partition wall 41 around the exhaust port 55.
