Summary: | PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an automatic advancer by axially dislocating an idle gear by hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic pressure working chamber increased according to the number of revolutions of a driven gear rotated in linkage with an engine, thereby enabling the change in the phase of the driven gear. CONSTITUTION:A drive gear 1 which is driven by a crank shaft of an engine is formed as a helical gear, and an idle gear 2 which is the helical gear is meshed with the gear 1. An idle gear 3, which has a tooth shape of the helical gear which is tilted symmetrically and oppositely with the gear 2, is fixed coaxially with the gear 2. A driven gear being the helical gear is meshed with the gear 3. A combination body of the gears 2,3 is rotatably supported by an idle shaft 5 which is dislocated freely in the axial direction, and the idle shaft 5 is introduced to the hydraulic pressure working chamber 11 on the end face. The shaft 5 is dislocated against a compression springs 7 by the pressure of lubrication oil for the engine. Consequently, injection timing, ignition timing and the like are controlled. |
