Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the electrical conductive guidance rail excellent in strength and toughness and having low electric resistance by subjecting a steel contg. C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ti and Al as base components as well as specified V and Nb to rolling at a prescribed temp. CONSTITUTION:A steel constituted of, by weight, 0.15 to 0.25% C, <=0.1% Si, 0.3 to 0.5% Mn, <=0.025% P, <=0.01% S, 0.005 to 0.015% Ti, 0.008 to 0.05% Al, total <=0.1% of 0.01 to 0.1% V and/or 0.01 to 0.05% Nb and the balance Fe is refined. The steel is rolled at 1150 to 1250 deg.C heating temp. and 800 to 850 deg.C finishing temp. Thus, the guidance rail excellent in strength and toughness and having good electrical conductivity can be obtd.
