Summary:PURPOSE:To allow the recording of diversified kinds of services at a high speed by continuously recording the data regardless of the kinds by using a packet system of a fixed type having a header for identifying the service data. CONSTITUTION:The recording unit is set at the packet of a specified bit length and the header of 16 bits is added to the top of this packet to indicate the kind of the data. This packet is continuously recorded regardless of the kinds of the data. More specifically, the packet of, for example, 288-bit length used for the data channel of a television satellite broadcasting is used. The 5 bits of the header of the top 16 bits of such packet structure are the data to indicate the kinds of the data and the remaining 11 bits are the check bits for error correction coding. The high-speed recording is executed without requiring many buffers and the high-speed recording apparatus and by using inexpensive apparatus even when the data of the diversified kinds of the different services are generated at irregular time intervals and at a high speed.
