Summary: | PURPOSE:To impart an auto-ignition function in high-temperature environment and an ignition function of a gas-generating agent by coagulating an ignition- temperature controlling agent having a specific ignition temperature and Mg with a binder composed of ethylene tetrafluoride and ethylene trifluoride. CONSTITUTION:The objective priming powder is produced by coagulating (A) an ignition temperature controlling agent and (B) Mg with (C) a binder composed of ethylene tetrafluoride and ethylene trifluoride. The controlling agent A is a priming powder for a gas generator for the expansion of an air bag and placed at the center of a gas-generating agent in a container and is composed of one or more compounds selected from the azides of alkaline-earth metals consisting of Ca, Sr and Ba. The ignition temperature of the controlling agent is lower than the ignition temperature of the gas-generating agent or the temperature to cause remarkable lowering of the burst strength of the container and higher than the possible maximum temperature occurring in a car under normal condition. |
