Summary: | PURPOSE:To prepare organic substance ultrafine particles in a high recovery rate while depressing the pyrolysis thereof by carrying the organic substance from a nozzle equipped with a heating means, simultaneously heating the organic substance for an extremely short time to vaporize the organic substance, and subsequently spaying vaporized substance together with a carrier gas into a vacuum chamber set at a prescribed pressure. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum chamber 1 is sufficiently evacuated with a vacuum pump 6 and a gas is fed from nozzle 2 and a gas-feeding tube 8 in the vacuum chamber 1. The volume of the fed gas and the volume of the ejected gas with the vacuum pump 6 are adjusted to set the vacuum chamber 1 to a prescribed pressure. The nozzle 2 is directly heated with electricity supplied from an electric source 10 and the thermally vaporized substance is jetted into the vacuum chamber 1 from the nozzle 2. The charged vaporized substance is rapidly cooled with a low temperature gas and by the adiabatic expansion of the gas to produce ultrafine particles, which are carried with a flow of the jetted gas and adhered to a recovery plate 12, thereby providing the objective ultrafine particles. |
