Summary:PURPOSE:To improve arc-extinguishing performance by providing a first reflux outlet near the contact of a reflux side plate, and also a second reflux outlet on the opening side of a contact shoe opposite to an exhaust part. CONSTITUTION:At the time of an accident, arc is generated between contacts 11, 12, and arc gas flows to an exhaust part 8 side. At that time, a part of the arc gas flows backward from the reflux inlet 10 of a reflux side plate 2 through a reflux passage 9 and returns to the vicinity of the contacts 11, 12 from a first reflux outlet 15 as shown by A, and also it returns to the vicinity of the contact 12 opposite to the exhaust part 8 from a second reflux outlet 16. Therefore, even if a space for the operation of a contact 14 opposite to the exhaust part 8 is increased, the arc gas is easy to flow into the exhaust part 9 as the arc gas entered into the opening side of a contact 13 from the second reflux outlet 16, so that the reflux effect of the arc gas is increased, compared with the conventional example having no second reflux outlet 16, progress of the arc is smoothed, and arc-extinguishing performance is thus improved.
