PURPOSE:To quicken gate cutting work and to improve efficiency in a production line without hindering flow of continuous automatic by constituting a gate cutter for casting product of a shifting die device shifting in horizontal direction and a fix die device facing to this. CONSTITUTION:A taken-out casting product W is held with runner frame holding projections 7, 13, arranged to the fixed die 9 and shifting die 11 respectively. Further, at the time of cutting the gate through ascent of a lifting base 4, a hanging part of the casting product W is constituted so as to be possible to cut the gate in a hanger conveyor 17 under dangling condition. By this method, load to this hanger conveyor 17 can be eliminated, and damage of this hanger conveyor 17 and adverse influence to the other taken-out casting product can be almost eliminated. Therefore, the gate cutting work in this kind of the taken- out casting product W is quickened and without any delaying to the flow of automatic line, this kind of work can be executed, and developing ratio of the product flaw can be reduce.
