Summary:PURPOSE:To measure the whole shape with high accuracy by correcting the measurement result of a displacement detector for shape measurement with motion accuracy found from the measured value of a displacement detector for motion measurement and finding the straightness shape of an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The object 1 to be measured is mounted on a rack, etc. Further, a displacement detector fitting base 2 can move reciprocally almost in parallel to the object 1 and plural displacement detectors 3 for shape measurement are mounted on the fitting base 2. Further, displacement detectors 5 for motion measurement are mounted on the fitting base 2 at an interval (m) in its moving direction. Then measured values of the detectors 3 and 5 are received to find the motion accuracy by an arithmetic processor 6 when the fitting base 2 moves, and arithmetic operations such as the correction of the measurement result of the detectors 3 based upon the accuracy, the evaluation of the whole shape of the object 1, etc., are performed.
