Summary:PURPOSE:To simply change use/unuse of a tone squelch circuit by arranging a 1st switch switching whether or not a tone is fed to a modulation circuit between a tone amplifier circuit and a modulation circuit and controlling 1st and 2nd switches interlockingly according to the control information stored in a memory. CONSTITUTION:Control information representing the use of a tone squelch is stored in a memory 11. A CPU 12 reads the control information stored in the memory 11 and controls the switching of the 2nd switch 9 and the 1st switch 10. With the 1st switch 10 thrown to the position of a contact B, the tone amplified by a tone amplifier circuit 5 is superimposed on a voice signal amplified by a transmission voice amplifier circuit 2 and modulated and the resulting signal is sent as a radio wave. Moreover, when the 2nd switch 9 is thrown to the position of a contact B, a control circuit 12 detects the presence of the tone of the voice signal band stored in the memory 11 and when the tone is detected, the signal eliminating the tone is fed to a reception voice amplifier circuit and when not detected, the output of the voice signal is suppressed.
