Summary:PURPOSE:To carry out continuous concentration and denitration of a nitrate solution with microwave,and to extract the produced denitrated product from the apparatus continuously and efficiently with a simple apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The inlet tube 3 of a nitrate solution to be treated, e.g. a solution of plutonium nitrate, uranium nitrate or their mixture, is attached to one end of the oven to which microwave is imposed, and an outlet of the denitrated material produced by the denitration process is attached to the other end. The gas generated in the oven 1 is taken out of the oven 1 through the exhaustion tube 5 attached to the oven 1, and the bottom of the oven 1 is inclined to lower the inlet side compared with the outlet port side 4. Two or more screw feeders 6 are placed in parallel in the oven 1 in a manner that the screw blades of the screws are intermeshed with each other. The material to be treated is transferred from the inlet-side to the outlet-side, and the denitrated product is taken out continuously from the outlet port 4.
