Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a remedy for corneal disorder, effective for restoring and treating damaged cornea, comprising a functional polypeptide of fibronectin having a specific amino acid sequence as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A remedy for corneal disorder comprising a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence shown by the formula as an active ingredient. The polypeptide is a cell adhesion polypeptide and is efficiently producible by genetic engineering method. The polypeptide has excellent corneal epidermal growth effect and wound curing promotion effects, is effective for treating corneal disorder such as abrasion of epithelium anterius corneae, keratitis and xerophthalmia, is used in 0.001-1%, preferably 0.01-0.5% solution as an dye drop and one drop or several drops of the drop is preferably administered once-several times per day.
