Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition effective against sheath blight and blast of rice by combining N-(1,1-dimethyl-2-oxa-4-indanyl)-2-methyl- pyrazol-5-carboxilic acid amide derivative and a specific bactericide for agricul ture and horticulture. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1 pt.wt. a compound expressed by the formula (R is methyl or trifluoromethyl; R is H, methyl, ethyl or Cl; R is methyl or ethyl) is com bined with (B) 0.1-100 pts.wt. at least a species selected from a group of propenazole, isoprothiolane, pyroquilon, iprobenfos, tricyclazole, fthalide, kasugamycin-hydrochloride, edifenphos and ferimzon to afford the aimed bacteri cidal composition for agriculture and horticulture. The composition synergistically exhibits extreme effects especially against sheath blight and blast of rice.
