Summary:PURPOSE:To simplify calibration and to facilitate checkup and adjustment by impressing a drive pulse and a DC power supply in superposition on a pulse motor and by driving a valve element by a rotating shaft made to rotate by the pulse motor. CONSTITUTION:When a TIP detector is inserted and driven by a detector driving device 7 so as to calibrate a detector of a power range neutron flux detector assembly 5 in a reactor pressure vessel 1 of BWR, the TIP detector goes out of a shielding vessel 8. At this time, drive pulses in a prescribed number and a DC power supply are impressed on a pulse motor 12 and a rotating shaft 19 is rotated in a valve opening direction. When the impression of the drive pulses in the prescribed number is completed, the main body 18 of a ball valve is opened. When the main body 18 of the ball valve is fully opened, the side edge part of a rotation detecting cam 23 comes into contact with a limit switch 24 for indicating the opened state of the valve and a valve opened state indicator lamp of a TIP control board is lighted.
