Summary:PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain information in a wide range sufficiently by providing a plurality of antennas which transmit detective waves and also receive reflected waves from a target and by disposing these antennas in a plurality with a height varied along the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:Antennas 1a to 1n are made to turn round and scan at prescribed periods discretely by rotation drive elements 2a to 2n respectively. The antennas disposed on the upper side have low repetition frequencies of transmission of detective waves for one turn and scan respectively, and as the antennas and disposed on lower sides, the repetition frequencies of transmission of the detective wave for one turn and scan become higher. By this setting, adequate information corresponding to a distance of detection is obtained. Accordingly, information in a wide range from a short distance to a long one can be measured with high sensitivity.
