PURPOSE:To make a scale small by disposing a vertical direction and a horizon tal direction in series in parallel to a correction of a contour and a flare, using an FIR filter for correcting the contour and an IIR filter for correcting the flare, variably adjusting their factors and correcting by a digital means. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal is inputted to a compensating delay device 25, passes through a vertical contour correction FIR filter 21, and a horizontal contour correction FIR filter 2 from a signal line (l) to input to a subtraction circuit 26a, is subtracted from a reference signal to obtain a high frequency characteristic for correcting the contour and continuously correct four corners of a window pattern at this time. Similarly, an input from a signal line (m) passes through vertical and horizontal flare correction composite IIR filters 23, 24, is subtracted from the reference signal in a subtraction circuit 26b to obtain a correcting signal of high frequency characteristic. After passing through coring circuits 27a, 27b, synthesizing in a synthesizing circuit 28, respective factor values of various types of filters, a gain adjusting circuit, a coring circuit or the like are adjusted and set in a factor circuit 30. Thereby, a small scale circuit constitution can be realized.
