Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide clutch engagement suited to an operating condition by installing cylinder with electric viscosity fluid sealed on a car body side and a piston which is slided by pedal operation on a pedal side to communicate the front and rear ends of the cylinder by a passage provided with a check valve. CONSTITUTION:A clutch engagement speed controller 10 consists of a cylinder body 11 of a car body side with electric viscosity fluid sealed and a piston rod 12 on a pedal side. The first passage 11b and the second passage 11c are communicated with both ends of a cylinder inner hole 11a along the cylinder inner hole 11a, and a check valve 13 which permits electric viscosity fluid to flow toward a direction A is provided at the first passage 11b and an electrode 14 is provided at the second passage 11c. At the time of pedaling, electroviscous fluid flows mainly through the first passage, and at the time of depedaling, it flows through the second passage, so viscosity is changed by controlling electrode voltage to control clutch engagement speed. |
