Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent image trailing due to repeated use by irradiating with light containing light of wavelengths absorbable by the polysilane used. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a conductive substrate 101 an electric charge generating layer 102 containing a charge generating material and a surface layer (charge transfer layer) 103 containing the polysilane in this order from the substrate 101, and it is irradiated with the light containing the light of wavelengths absorbable by the polysilane to be used, thus permitting the polysilane in the surface layer 103 to be gradually decomposed and removed, and paper powder to be restrained from accumulating on the surface of the photosensitive body, and consequently image trailing to be prevented and high-quality images to be stably formed. |
