Summary:PURPOSE:To recycle a printed sheet for repeated use by printing data on plain sheet using an ink which fades significantly due to ultraviolet ray or heat. CONSTITUTION:A moisture-absorptive carbon ribbon 2 wound around bobbins 1, 1' has divided upper and lower halves, the upper half 3 containing an ordinary ink and the lower half 4 containing an ink consisting of a material which indicates a thick color tone at first but becomes colorless if exposed to an ultraviolet ray or high temperature, for example, like a dye intermediate. If a carbon ribbon is used as described and the portion to be used of an ink ribbon is selected using a wire dot printer with a red/black selection device of OA equipment and then is printed by routine operation, the sheet printed using a ribbon portion is easily restored to an original sheet status of close to whiteness under the ultraviolet ray of a sunshine or heat. Consequently, information can be read from print which need not be stored without depending on an image of OA and at the same time, the sheet can be repeatedly used by recycling it.
