PURPOSE:To obtain the concentrating device which is free from the danger of the rupture of a vacuum evaporating and concentrating column without generating bumping and malodors by providing a means for forcibly stirring the concd. liquid in the column. CONSTITUTION:The evaporation at the low temp. at which the generation of gases does not arise is executed under a reduced pressure in the vacuum evaporating and concentrating column 1. While the concd. liquid in the column 1 is circulated by a suction pump 6, the liquid is stirred. The bumping which is considered to occur from certain foreign matter becoming a nucleus in a static state does not arise any longer and the stable low-temp. evaporation is possible. The generation of the bumping is prevented and the generation of uncomfortable gases is obviated. The danger that the rupture, etc., of the column by the clogging in the column and piping is eliminated and the compact device which is simple in construction is obtd.
