Summary: | PURPOSE:To ensure that printing malfunction or fault is detected instantaneously by providing a sensor part which detects the operating condition of a hammer spring on a spring charge-type printing head. CONSTITUTION:A hammer spring 1 is fixed to a yoke 3 through an insulating material 2. A magnet 4 and a coil 5 are mounted on the yoke 3, and the hammer spring 1 is attracted to the other end of the yoke 3 by the magnet 4. A sensor part 6 which detects the operating condition of the hammer spring is provided between the hammer spring 1 and the yoke 3. The hammer spring is closed and opened by a constantly running weak current each time a print command is issued. Consequently, the temporary printing malfunction generated by the surface tension of the yoke attraction surface when the hammer spring is attracted or the printing fault caused by the breakage of the hammer spring can be instantaneously detected. |
